HANDLING LIVERY
Handling livery welcoming all types from completely untouched, to those being introduced to tack and long reining.
£150 per week per pony to include:Full livery care.Hay, Straw bedding and hard feed.Daily handling.1-1 training plan with updates.
Results in the first week, with 2 weeks + usually being recommended.
BACKING LIVERY
Backing livery to include start to finish training to have your pony happily ridden away. I mostly hack to get the horse learning that being ridden is a fun, positive experience. This also helps build the right muscles and learning in a 'real life' experience, seeing the world. Arena hire a short 10 minute drive in the trailer is available for those who would like it.
Prices from £150 per week, plus additional small fee for jockeys to ride.
I have multiple jockeys available, from 7 - 30yo.
Full livery care, to include all hay, bedding and hard feed.

ABOUT ME
Welcome to the website of Feral to Family Dartmoor Hill Ponies. Feral to family started rather unexpectedly in 2019 when my personal lifelong mare fell poorly, and was turned away into a field and needed a couple of friends. I approached Charlotte Faulkener, bought a couple of friends for her, tamed them and found it most enjoyable.. and the rest is perhaps history. Over the last 5 years I've rehomed and assisted in helping 300+ ponies. I've saved many lives giving ponies their last chances, as well as made many lifelong friends and connections along the way. I specialise in the 'Feral and terrified', and adore unlocking the light behind their eyes and bring out new lives and chances. I also offer handling - backing livery, welcoming completely untouched, to ponies just needing a ridden away top up. I take in and rehome various ponies, and work tirelessly to find perfect life long home matches. As famously quoted.. you don't throw a whole life away, just because he's banged up a little.
